What is Time for Kids?

Time for Kids is about always thinking… what more could I do to help a child or young person to thrive? Themed around five values – connect, trust, hope, belong and believe – they provide a simple framework to guide our approach.

Connect

Trust

Hope

Encourage children to tell their story and learn to hope

We should encourage young people to express themselves. We need to listen, to believe and to help the young person to make the changes they need to develop hope for their future.

By embedding these principles across the children’s system, we can help to make Surrey a place where all children and young people, especially those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged, are supported to succeed.
